His innovative approach, including the development of proprietary applicant tracking systems and the launch of TaxTalent, an online community for tax career management, has revolutionized how companies build and maintain world-class tax departments. A respected thought leader, Tony regularly contributes insights to leading tax publications and speaks at industry events. Outside of work, Tony enjoys mentoring young professionals, exploring new technologies, and spending time with his family on the beautiful South Carolina coast.

Adam Golden has spent the last 20+ years at TaxSearch, helping companies build and maintain world-class tax departments, having trained directly under the company's owner and founder, Tony Santiago. Over the years, Adam has developed expertise in consulting with hiring authorities on the intricacies of the tax market and has established himself as one of the premier recruiters of top-tier tax talent in the country. Adam advises his clients and candidates on a myriad of topics, including succession planning, retention strategies, salary benchmarking, and various career-related matters that arise throughout a tax professional’s career. His clients and candidates work at companies as large as those in the Fortune 10, as well as at mid-size companies globally. Adam currently leads TaxTalent’s Symposia Training Program, a one-of-a-kind developmental program designed to train the next generation of tax leaders for their first head of tax position.

Adam has been invited to speak at numerous Tax Executive Institute (TEI) chapter conferences to address recruitment, retention, and development trends within the tax profession, and he has also spoken at multiple college campuses across the country, discussing “Careers in Tax” with students.

A father of three, Adam currently lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma, though he is originally from Georgia. In his free time, he enjoys cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs on weekends and hitting the golf links!

With over 27 years at TaxSearch, Stephanie Gilmartin is a Senior Director, Executive Search assisting clients with their most critical high-level tax talent needs. Stephanie has worked with a wide variety of clients all over the country. Her clients are typically US based large global companies, but she has done significant work with foreign-owned companies to staff their US Headquarters tax office. Stephanie has built trusted relationships with all of her clients by helping them attract and maintain top tier tax professionals who both mitigate risks and drive shareholder value.

David joined Tax Search, Inc. as a Sr. Recruiter in 2023. Prior to recruiting, David worked as a private investigator, an educator, a military and law enforcement researcher, and an adjunct professor of forensic psychology at universities in San Diego. During a deployment job in Afghanistan, David provided psychological and leadership profiles of Afghanistan’s presidential candidates on behalf of U.S. and NATO Forces. Upon returning to the States, he developed skills and a passion for executive search work. 

Since 2014, the values of discipline, conscientiousness, and authenticity have inspired him to bring clients extraordinary results. David has recruited for an array of industries including Legal, Blockchain, Construction, Energy, and VC; he has consistently proven himself an asset to clients and candidates. He’s grateful for the opportunity to apply recruiting expertise to consulting with tax professionals, as he aims to augment clients’ career growth and leadership.

Cheri is the Marketing Coordinator for TaxSearch, based in the Mount Pleasant, SC office. Since transitioning into this role, she has been instrumental in supporting the marketing team with campaign coordination, content management, and branding efforts to ensure alignment with TaxSearch’s vision and goals.

Debbie is a TaxSearch Project Coordinator located in Tulsa. She joined TaxSearch in 1996 and became the primary support for three members of the retained search team. She is looking forward to her retirement next February. She plans to continue traveling with her husband. They enjoy traveling to beaches inside and outside the US. She also enjoys her time with her fellow parrot heads (Jimmy Buffett fan club). She also enjoys spending time with her family, which includes her granddaughter.

Handling the day-to-day administrative functions throughout the execution of the search process, Debbie is one of the project coordinators in facilitating search agreements with clients, setting up initial search meetings, developing company and candidate profiles, and is the main point of contact for Human Resources and hiring authorities during the search. Debbie also assists our consulting team by sourcing candidates. She enjoys the work she does with TaxSearch as she finds it rewarding to help make successful placements.

Amanda joined TaxSearch in the summer of 2024, where she focuses on supporting the team in permanent placements. With a strong passion for helping individuals find their ideal careers, she plays a vital role in managing day-to-day administrative tasks throughout the search process. As a project coordinator, Amanda facilitates search agreements with clients, coordinates initial meetings and interviews, and serves as the main point of contact for Human Resources and hiring authorities.

Prior to TaxSearch, Amanda was a project coordinator at TaxForce, where she oversaw daily operations since 2022. A proud native of Alabama (War Eagle!), she has called Charleston home since 2001. Outside of work, Amanda enjoys spending time with her son, Braeden, family and friends along with her two dogs, Sully and Nellie. In her free time, she loves cooking, photography, painting, and reading.

Frank has successfully navigated complex international tax issues, including GILTI and FDII regulations, to model tax implications of and minimize tax liabilities for clients. A strong advocate for team development, Frank has led training programs and managed teams to enhance strategic tax planning engagements for corporate clients. Passionate about reading, music, and sports, Frank enjoys time with his fiancée, pets, and writing novels in his free time.
